3D Rectal Ultrasound

New technology available in the rooms for diagnosis of anal sphincter injuries and also for anal fistulas and rectal polyps and cancers. It is a cost effective procedure and is painless. MRI scan was previously done but is expensive.

Combined with pelvic floor ultrasound, diagnosis of obstructed defecation syndrome, prolapse and incontinence can be better defined and managed. Problems that may be diagnosed by ultrasound are:
